What We’re All About
Hey, I’m Kasey! I’m a proud boy and fur mom with a house full of love, energy, and muddy paws. I’m a Type 1 Diabetic, Jeep girly, and Norfolk native with a creative soul and plenty of grit.
When I’m not running the booth, I work in Healthcare IT as a Systems Analyst. I love solving problems, improving workflows, and keeping things running smoothly. I’m usually creating something, whether it’s designing, organizing, or turning ideas into something people can enjoy. I’m laid-back but driven, love a good laugh, and believe that kindness and authenticity go a long way.
Meet the Owner
Honyes Selfie Station started as something fun I made for family parties. Everyone loved it, and I quickly realized how much it added to the experience. No one had to stop and say, “Wait, let’s take a picture!” because the booth did that for them. It added fun, convenience, and a stylish touch to the event. It kept all the memories in one place and instantly became everyone’s favorite part of the party. After seeing how much my friends and family enjoyed it, I decided to turn it into something bigger and share it with others.
How it Started
Honyes actually started as a little joke. My boyfriend’s last name is Peña, and I liked the tilde over the n, so I added one to my last name, Jones. He said it would change the pronunciation to hon-yes and my sister, the Spanish teacher, couldn’t stand it, so naturally I kept it.
What started as something playful eventually became a reflection of me. My last name was given to me through love and belonging rather than lineage, and the Jones name will always be part of my foundation. I love that Honyes connects that part of my story with my love for Spanish culture. I find it funny when people read it as honeys or hun-yes because it adds a touch of southern flair that fits so well and perfectly reflects the roots that shaped me.
To me, Honyes is a reminder that I have an identity that is wholly mine. It represents family, acceptance, unconditional love, confidence, and the joy of being yourself, and that’s exactly what I’ve poured into this business.
